Finland joins the international design registration system
21.03.2011Finland has acceded to the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement concerning the international deposit of industrial designs. This arrangement and the related amendments to the Finnish Registered Designs Act will take effect on 1 May 2011. Read more

European patent, trademark and design applications on the rise
02.02.2011The European Patent Office has announced that it received 232 000 European patent filings in 2010, 10% up on the previous year. Community trade mark applications at OHIM rose by 11% and registered Community designs received went up by 7% overall. Read more
