Minna Seppänen has a degree in chemical engineering from Helsinki University of Technology, with polymer technology as her major subject and industrial chemistry as her minor subject. Minna also holds a BSc in information technology and computer science.

Before joining Kolster as a patent attorney in 2001, she acquired six years of work experience as a researcher at Helsinki University of Technology, in quality management in a chemical company, and in software development in an international telecommunications company.

At Kolster, Minna has concentrated on the patent protection of telecommunications applications, such as network services and software-based solutions. Minna is familiar with mobile and wireless local area networks, present and future network technologies and various interface applications. Minna has also drafted patent applications in the fields of information technology and bioinformatics as well as chemistry and mechanics. She also carries out feasibility searches related to patenting.
