Veli-Matti Kärkkäinen is a graduate of Helsinki University of Technology with a major in electrical engineering and telecommunications. His specialities are electrical and mechanical engineering applications in various fields.
Before joining Kolster in 2009, Veli-Matti worked for over ten years in IPR-related tasks for companies within the field of electrical engineering and telecommunications in Finland and the Netherlands, and nearly ten years as European Patent Attorney and European Trademark Attorney. His expertise in various technologies and IPR is extensive. He is one of the few attorneys in Finland with both European Patent Attorney and European Trademark Attorney qualification.
Veli-Matti also has a great deal of experience in patent disputes, patent litigations, and licence negotiations.
