Ossi Huhtanen

Ossi Huhtanen graduated from Helsinki University of Technology, where he majored in electric power engineering. He also studied lighting technology, electrical wiring design for buildings, electric power plant technology, and product development. Ossi has six years of work experience in electrical wiring design for hospitals and other public buildings.

Ossi joined Kolster as a patent attorney in 1994 and has since made numerous novelty searches for inventions and drafted patentability assessments and patent applications within many fields of technology. His focus areas are paper machinery, industrial automation, control, sensor and electrical measurement engineering, power electronics and electronics, environmental, transport, construction, HPAC and safety engineering, and various technical systems for buildings.

He has also been involved in strategic IPR counselling and cost optimization. He acts as an expert in patent disputes and gives opinions concerning the scope of protection and infringement of patents, and lectures on issues related to patent protection.
