Marjut Borgenström

Marjut Borgenström holds a PhD from the University of Turku in the field of medical molecular biology. In addition, she has studied genetics, biochemistry, and plant physiology.

She started her career as a researcher at the Centre for Biotechnology at the University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University, specializing in cellular biology, molecular biology, and glycobiology.

As a patent attorney at Kolster since 2002, Marjut has dealt with patent applications of several Finnish biotech companies. She also works as an in-house consultant for our client company. She has acquired special skills in gene technology, immunology and utilization of stem cells in medical applications. Marjut also conducts novelty searches and competitor surveillance from commercial databases.
