Anniina Erkkilä

Anniina Erkkilä holds MSc (Tech) and DSc (Tech) degrees from Helsinki University of Technology. In her studies Anniina has gained experience in organic chemistry, industrial chemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry. Her dissertation further focused on organocatalysis. During her post-graduate studies, Anniina worked at the Laboratory of Organic Chemistry in Helsinki University of Technology specializing broadly in synthetic organic chemistry. Her post-graduate studies also involved a period working as a visiting researcher at the Max-Plack-Institut für Kohlenforschung in Germany. During her studies and the following two years in India, Anniina has published a dozen scientific publications in organic chemistry.

As a patent agent at Kolster since autumn 2010 Anniina focuses on patent applications of pharmaceutical companies relating to new chemical compounds and pharmaceutical products. She assists clients in the acquisition and analysis of IPR information and conducts e.g. novelty searches and patentability evaluations.
