Kirsi-Marja Pitkänen

Kirsi-Marja Pitkänen applied her chemistry studies in practice while working for a Swiss pharmaceutical company, which manufactured paper chemicals. She was employed at the company’s paper laboratory and held accountable for assignments concerning for instance paper pulp testing and dyeing in paper industry.

Kirsi-Marja started at Kolster in 1989, and has since specialized in polymer chemistry. Typically, patent assignments in this area have been oil-industry-related products, such as plastic, lubricant, or petrol compounds.

She is also previously familiar with applications of organic chemistry in pharmaceutical products as well as with chemical applications in paper industry and food industry.
