Heikki Karjalainen

Heikki Karjalainen holds an MSc from Helsinki University of Technology where he studied electronics, circuit engineering, applied electronics and space technology. Before joining Kolster in 1998, Heikki worked in product development for a company specialized in integrated circuits.

While working as a patent attorney, Heikki has drafted applications in the field of electronics and telecommunications. He is familiar with service applications in the telecommunications sector, multioperator environments and positioning systems. He has also handled innovations in the furniture industry and shipbuilding industry. Heikki’s experience enables him to assess the validity and scope of protection of patents, and to provide infringement opinions. He has also given lectures on the strength of patents and the determination of the value of a patent.
