Heli Hietamies

Heli Hietamies is responsible for the practice area of designs at Kolster. She has an over ten-year experience in the IPR field. Heli's career started at the Trademarks and Designs Line at the the National Board of Patents and Registration of Finland.

In 2003 she joined Kolster, where she has widely dealt with trademark, design, anti-counterfeiting and conciliation matters. During 2001 to 2004, Heli was a member of the Employment Invention Board of the Ministry of Trade and Industry (presently called the Ministry of Employment and the Economy), so she is also experienced in employee inventions.

She is one of the four authors of Mallioikeus ─ Muotoilun suoja (2006), a comprehensive book on the basics of design copyright and protection.

She gives lectures on copyright and protection of designs in educational events in the field, both in Finland and abroad.
