M.Sc. (Materials Technology) Antti Pörhönen’s expertise include megallurgy, machine design, manufacturing processes of metals, metal processing and 3D printing, of which he has gained knowledge from his studies as well at work. In addition to his degree from Tampere University of Technology, Antti has completed studies at the Politecnico di Torino in Italy.
Before joining the IPR-business and Kolster in May 2021, Antti worked with mechanical design of industrial electric motors as well as in research and development of 3D-printing processes for metals. He has also had the opportunity to experience the importance of IPR from an inventor’s point of view, which contributed to spark his interest in the field. In addition to the engineering work, different IPR support tasks had been a part of Antti’s responsibilities. “It has been fascinating to discover how important a role IPR issues can play in a company's business, even from the point of view of demonstrating the technological competence of the company.”
