Merja Ekström supports Kolster’s clients in managing the patenting process with expertise and reliability.
Merja has 30 years of experience in handling European patent applications from filing through to grant and the validation of granted patents. She also manages unitary patent (UP) requests to the European Patent Office as well as opt-out requests to the Unified Patent Court (UPC). In addition, she is responsible for filing international patent applications.
Merja serves as a designated IPR expert for Kolster’s largest clients, giving her in-depth understanding of their commercial IP portfolio management systems.
She provides service in both Finnish and English.
According to Merja, the multi-phase nature of the patenting process requires constant up-to-date expertise and that’s where a knowledgeable partner becomes a crucial support for the client.
