Timo Helosuo, MSc (Econ.), MBA, has a notable international career of over 25 years with technology companies and multinational companies. He held an executive position at Nokia in the US and Finland, where his duties included the introduction of new products on the global consumer goods market and the active development of the mobile game ecosystem. Timo has worked as director of management consultant services at the multinational consulting, technology and outsourcing services provider Accenture.
Timo is actively involved in issues related to business between Europe and China. He is the representative for Finland at the EU–China Business Association EUCBA, Chairman of the Finland–China Trade Association, and an active advisor for both European and Chinese companies and authorities in IP issues.
Timo is a strong believer that innovations and their utilisation can benefit both individuals and the wider society. “Through creativity and innovations, we can solve the problems of today and build a better tomorrow.” In 2014, Timo was awarded the Fellowship of the British Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA).
Timo believes that most innovations are a result of interactions between people. Family and children are an important part of his life. Timo’s free time is often spent in shared family activities.
