Stefan Holmström helps Kolster’s clients strengthen their share on the market by protecting their inventions and minimizing risks arising from competitors’ IPR protections.

Stefan has extensive experience in the international protection of inventions relating to mechanics, automation and communication technology. He also assists clients with competitor analysis, opposition proceedings, infringement cases, and patent litigation. He has over 30 years of experience in patenting.

Stefan leads Kolster’s patent team in Helsinki.

He has lectured on patenting both in corporate specific training sessions and in open training events organized by various organizations.

According to Stefan, a crucial part of every product development project is to analyse and manage the IPR situation early on. This ensures that competitors’  IPR do not unexpectedly become obstacles to own operations and that development work is not freely given away to competitors due to lack of IPR protection.
