Kristiina has over three decades of experience in handling intellectual property right matters, both in Finland and internationally. Her areas of expertise cover a wide range of IPR protection and utilization in business, from commercial identity selection and research to trademark and design rights to trademark and design applications and strategic consulting.

She specializes in IPR audits, trademark and design right applications, trademark oppositions, watching and invalidation actions, IPR risk management and competitor watching, brand building, coordination of foreign trademark processes, and IPR in-house training.

Kristiina has particularly strong expertise in EUIPO and WIPO trademark systems.

She sees trademark registration as a cornerstone of branding. Her approach is business-oriented and strategic and she helps clients effectively identify and manage IPR risks.
