Even if a company makes a conscious decision to not protect the exclusive rights to its own intellectual property, this does not exempt it from its responsibility to ensure that the company itself does not infringe upon the rights of others. Every company should be prepared for IPR risks facing their own operations and secure the continuity of their business.

Based on the description of your new product or production method, we will determine whether your new product possibly infringes upon any existing patents. We examine the possibility of introducing your existing product in a new market area. We can conduct a preliminary examination while your product is still under development.

This prevents potential patent infringement and allows you to alter your product before its launch so it will not infringe upon existing patents.

Novelty Search and Patentability Evaluation

In a novelty search we determine whether there are any previous patents or other documents disclosing something that resemble your invention. If necessary, we make an evaluation and statement on the patentability of your invention and recommend a course of action.

The information produced in a novelty search can be used as product development guidelines in the advanced development of an actual commercial product. This will prevent unnecessary product development and protection costs, as there are rarely inventions without some sort of precedents. As a rule, an invention is an improvement of an existing technology or method.

Prior Art Search

We will examine existing solutions within a certain area of technology and provide a clear idea as to how competitive that area is. You will also be given a rough idea of potentially dominating patents (blocking patents). Charting the field provides invaluable information for product development - after all, there is no point of re-inventing the wheel!
