Unfounded invoices and misleading marketing by various “registration services” are increasingly common in the IP sector. In the latest trend, unfounded invoices use symbols that could be confused with the names and logos of IP authorities.
If you receive an invoice concerning your patent, utility model, trademark or design right application from a sender other than Kolster or your authorised annual fee company, such as CPA Global, it is prudent to question the credibility of the invoice. Such invoices commonly request payment for adding your application to a register or for some other type of service. If you suspect that you have received a fraudulent invoice, verify the matter with your contact person at Kolster.
